How will Man United’s team be stifled by Owen’s ankle injury?

March 06, 2010

Is he out for the whole season?

Apart from scoring the winner against Man City I can’t remember anything else he’s done in the premier league. He’s a shadow of the player he once was so I don’t think he’ll be a great miss.
Yes he’s out for the whole season. However, even the worst hamstring injuries usually only put a player out for 3-6 weeks maximum! It says everything about Owen’s inability to deal with injury that Fergie’s thrown the towel in with him already…

No worries as the legendary injured player is back in reserves Owen Hargreaves, so we are replacing one injured player with another injured player

Yes whole season but he’s not half the player he was so not much. Whatever happened to Macheda?

they have the jammiest luckiest average joes in their squad, aged under 23 – all foreign – and these Johnny Carlos-kick-a-balls have a knack for surprising us with late late goals , in the dying seconds of injury time.

Usualy during 5, 6 or 7 minutes of added time.

this is how it works in the EPL.

the refs work in agreement to Uniteds philosophy – if we’re a goal behind, the ganme doesnt finsih until we equalize.

edit: they have diouf, macheda, wellbeck so i dont see owens departure troubling them the slightest.

We still have Berbatov who can cover for him. It is sad to see Owen’s season end early at this point in the season. But we do have Hargreaves coming back from injury soon.
