preventing ankle injury? i am VERY clumsy and roll my ankles alot, want to start jump roping, advice?
I seem to hurt my ankles all of the time!!!! i want to start jump roping, but i forsee an ankle injury in my future. several, actually! how can i prevent this? i really want to be able to do a vigorous jump rope routine for cardio with no ankle problems. Any advice for clumsy me??
What ever you do don’t wear a brace. Braces just protect your ankle and it will stay weak. I have the same problem as you because I’ll just be walking and I’ll roll my ankle. My gymnastics coach told me to get some type of balance board and stand on it for 3 minutes a day. He also told me to try and come up with ways that will work my ankle balance more to strengthen the ankle. Hope this helps.
