How long will it take for my ankle to recover?

I am pretty sure that I sprained my ankle a day or two ago and it hurts like crazy. When I move my foot around using my ankle, it hurts a lot. It is swelling quite a lot. When will the swelling stop? How can I reduce the swelling? What are some tips on treating the injury?

Umm personnaly i would set up and appointment with a doctor. Then just ice it and keep it elevated. Now do not put the ice on it without a towel over it cuz it will burn, MAKE SURE YOU SET UP AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DOCTOR FIRST.
