HELP!!! How do I treat a sprained ankle?

So yesterday I went to gymnastics, I landed and I rolled my ankle and it hurts when I put pressure on it. How can I cure it quickly?

Standard care for a sprain = RICE

R-rest- The first 24-48 hours after the injury is considered a critical treatment period and activities need to be curtailed. Gradually use the injured extremity as much as tolerated, by try to avoid any activities that cause pain. Often using a splint, sling, or crutches is necessary to adequately rest the injured body part.

I-ice- For the first 48 hours post-injury, ice the sprain or strain 20 minutes at a time every 3-4 hours. The ice pack can be a bag of frozen vegetables (peas or corn), allowing you to be able to re-use the bag.

C-Compression- Use compression when elevating a sprain or strain in early treatment. Using an Ace bandage, wrap the area overlapping the elastic wrap by one-half of the width of the wrap. The wrap should be snug, but not cutting off circulation to the extremity. So, if your fingers or toes become cold, blue, or tingle, re-wrap!

E-elevate- Keep your sprain or strain as best possible–try to get it higher than your heart if possible. Elevate at night by placing pillows under your arm or leg.

    When I sprained mine my doctor told me to take 400 mg of neurofen twice a day for a week. It could range any where from a week to 6 months to heal – depending on the severity of the sprain. I would see a doctor if you want to know because that is the only way you are going to know for sure. I wasn’t allowed to do any exercise for a week afterwards – mine was minor/moderate though if yours is severe it could be a while.

    There is no Quick cure for a sprained ankle-you have to soak it & wrap it–But most of all you have to stay off of it

    in the acute stage – immediatly after the injury apply ice. then presssure. Then alternate ice and warmth to the ankle . Most anlke injusires are ”inversion injuries” where the ankle twists inward.An
    Ankle support can be useful . Pain should be controlled with ibobrufen or paracetamol. Paracetamol 1000 mg 4 times a day. NSAIDs like difene 1 4 times a day often prescribed. it is usual to advise using a crutch or a walking stick to assist weight weight redistribution , and this too alleviates pain
