Hey guys…2 years ago I sprained my ankle and the doctor hardly did anything for it so it didn’t hral right. Wednesday I got a shot in my ankle re-injuring it so it could be treated right this time. It swelled up so I was told to just wrap it in an ace bandage till the swelling went down and come back monday to get fitted for an aircast stirrup. I go back to get fitted for it tomorrow ans my ankle still has a bit more swelling than it should, so I’m in bed elevating and icing it. What are some things I can do to keep me busy?? I’ve been reading for an hour already.
Oh and I have an iPod touch, cell phone, and tv in my room if that helps ![]()

Have you tried crossword puzzles? Make a list of goals for the year, 5yrs. from now, what do you see yourself doing? Make plans for the summer, write in a diary, write letters, think of gifts for birthdays, holidays. If you have artistic ability, you could draw, with either black or colored pencils. Depending on your room set up, you could do some crafts.
After icing your ankle, close your eyes & place a warm cloth over them. Try to relax & concentrate on breathing as deeply & slowly as possible. This is a type of meditation. In thru your nose & blow out thru your mouth. You may go into a very shallow state of sleep; think of things you like, such as the ocean, sports, people, highlights of your life. It will calm you down & help you to rest so you can get through this.

get a laptop, or get someone to bring you a ton of magazines, or just gets some friends to come lol, or learn how to knit….i was in the same situation before so i know how you feel and yea i just did pretty much everything lol that didnt involve getting up.
